Directions from M4 to Middle Fell

Leave the M4 at exit 13 and take the A34 north (direction oxford) after approximately 6 miles leave the A34 at Chilton (4th Exit) garden centre on LHS.

At the end of the slip road turn right and continue over A34 to the roundabout.

Take first exit from roundabout and continue to the “T” Junction in the village of Upton.

Turn right (onto the A417) through the village of Upton and continue to the village of Blewbury.

After leaving Blewbury (after garage on LHS) proceed up the hill and after a furthr mile take the first left turn signposted Aston Tirrold and Aston Upthorpe.

Come into the village and pass the Chequers pub on the right. In effect straight on but a bit confusing because of road priorities.

Continue to the next give way and then straight on, again the priorities is to the right but continue straight, passed the post-box and notice board on the LHS.

Middle Fell is the second entrance on the left after the post box and notice board on the wall at the junction (opposite Upthorpe Farm; a cream house on the right).

Enter and continue 100yds up the drive to the house.

Directions from M40 to Middle Fell

Leave the M40 at Exit 9 and take the A34 south (direction Oxford)

Leave the A34 at the Didcot exit.

Proceed towards the roundabout (Keep in the right lane) at the roundabout take the fourth exit (The right turn towards Rowstock).

Proceed up the hill and straight over the traffic lights.

At the first roundabout (Rowstock) turn left.

Proceed on this road (the A417) through the villages of Harwell, Upton and Blewbury (about 3-4 miles).

After leaving Blewbury (after the garage) proceed up the hill and after a further mile take the first turn left sign posted Aston Tirrold and Aston Upthorpe.

Come into the village and past the chequers pub on your right. A bit confusing because of new priorities (it is straight on but a left turn).

Continue to the next give way and proceed straight on (again to the priorities are to the right but you must continue straight).

Directions from Henley on Thames to Middle Fell

From Henley-On-Thames take the A4130 (direction Nettlebed/Wallingford).

On reaching Wallingford turn left at roundabout onto the Wallingford ring road. Right at the next roundabout.

Over the Thames bridge and straight over the next two roundabout which are close together (always following directions for Didcot)

After the railway crossing turn left at the next roundabout towards South Moreton. After about one mile turn right at the “T” junction.

On reaching South Moreton. At the “T” junction turn left and proceeds for a further half mile into the villages of Aston Upthorpe and Aston Tirrold.

After entering the village proceed for about 100 yds until reaching a cream coloured farmhouse Upthorpe Farm and a give way sign on the left.

Opposite Upthorpe Farm enter the gates beside the high “Scolloped” brick wall and proceed about 100yds to Middle Fell, which is at the top of the drive.
